Work Time
Emilio’s career started at Lloyd's when he joined Syndicate 312 E.O.Walklin and O's, which wrote all classes of Aviation as a box junior.
In 1980 he joined M.E.Charlesworth and O's Syndicate 734 specialist General Aviation syndicate as an assistant underwriter.
In 1984 he was appointed as a director of the Agency M.E.Charlesworth Underwriting Agents.
Two years later Emilio was headhunted by R.W.Sturge Agency to Underwrite for Syndicates 960 and 998 B.Beagley and O's.
In 1991 he joined L.G.Cox Underwriting Agency to take over as the underwriter of Syndicate 734. The Agency went on to become one of the best performing in the market and created a specialism in General Aviation unique at the time.
During this period Emilio sat on the Lloyd's Aviation Underwriters Association and was chair of committee during probably one of the most difficult periods in aviation history following 9/11. As well as lecturing for the Insurance Institute, in 2002 he was appointed managing director and global head of aviation at Allianz in the London office. Soon after, Emilio assumed responsibility as head of all lines of aviation in London.
Down Time
Happily married for 29 years, Emilio has three sons. His interests include shooting, golf and football. He is a season ticket holder at Tottenham Hotspur, is a proud Italian and supports "the four time football world champions!"
