Jerry Flaxman

Work Time

In the past, Jerry has owned a retail jewellers and worked as a self-employed aircraft engineer specialising in the repair and restoration of vintage aircraft.

In 1981 he joined Willis Faber & Dumas as a claims broker, becoming aerospace claims director in 1987, followed by services director, which embraced all aspects of services provided to clients including claims.

From 1992 to 1997 Jerry was appointed managing director of Willis Inspace, responsible for global space sector broking operations and business development. He also led the Core Process Redesign (CPR) project for Willis Aerospace and spent two years redesigning the entire workflow processes.

In 1999 Jerry set up his own consultancy company, Aerospace Answers, working with specialist associates in engineering, aviation law, fuel purchase and management and fleet planning.

In 2001 he joined Holman Fenwick and Willan to drive the development of its aerospace portfolio and in 2003 Jerry joined Emilio Di Silvio’s new team at Allianz as claims manager.

Down Time

Jerry is married and has two young children and a dog. He coaches under-14s in junior rugby , is a qualified RYA sailing instructor, windsurfs and skis.
