QBE PI underwrites professional indemnity insurance across the full spectrum of surveyors, from residential to commercial and small practices to international firms. All practicing members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) are required to hold professional indemnity insurance and QBE PI’s standard policy for surveyors is a fully compliant RICS civil liability wording. QBE PI has sought to add value to this benchmark through flexible underwriting, effective claims management and our innovative risk management service.

Our highly experienced claims team perform the vital function of ensuring that claims are managed promptly, knowledgably and effectively. Working in close association with underwriters, the claims team utilises personnel who have a detailed knowledge of the surveying industry.

A unique feature of our service is our quality assurance based risk management initiative. Working closely with industry bodies, we are seeking to harmonise our QA processes with the new RIBA CPD curriculum that includes risk management as a compulsory element. CPD points can be claimed through the completion of our self-assessment QA questionnaire or our on-site training. In addition to the accrual of CPD points, our QA process represents a highly effective means to assist even the smallest practices to implement an appropriate quality management system.
