Chelmsford

The National team in Chelmsford are based in the Coval Wells office complex and share the motor head office for QBE in Europe. Prior to National it was a regional centre for DA Constable. The office covers a wide geographical area in the South East of England and covers all major towns and cities.

Jon White comments:
‘It was a logical extension to our capability to include property, motor and professional indemnity. During 2009 this has been further enhanced with the addition of Contractors All Risks and the first centre in the National team to actively develop Accident & Health.

The South East of England has tremendous potential due to a wide mix of industries and population concentration. Clearly the London market dominates insurance activity in this area but it does not pick everything up and having a presence to trade with local insurance brokers is a real advantage.

Many brokers in our region have worked in the London City marketplace and are very knowledgeable and market savvy. Having a team that has the expertise to match up to expectations in a locally traded environment is a real advantage. Many brokers have told us that with the closure of a number of insurance company offices that technical knowledge is in short supply. Our team understands the demands of the brokers we deal with and looks to fulfil them.’
