A National Force

Formally launched in 2008 the National division has been created to meet demand from regional insurance brokers in allowing access to locally empowered underwriters who offer the combination of a high degree of experience in their own sector but also understand the local dynamics of the marketplace they work within.

This model utilises the provision of full underwriting authorities to the regional teams by working closely across the business with the respective lead underwriters to ensure a seamless facility across QBE. We believe that there is an opportunity to tap into the expertise and underwriting excellence that already exists within QBE. By accessing regional underwriters in this way we have no desire or intent to undermine the role of the value added intermediary sometimes associated with the placement of business.

In trading with QBE National we expect our clients to encounter a passion for  business which underpins everything we do. All our teams are encouraged to think for themselves and to seek out innovative solutions to the business challenges they face with an approach to service and documentation based upon principles of 'right first time'.
