International Property
International property operates 100% through Lloyd’s brokers. The Portfolio is split into three main parts:
Direct and Facultative - Non US
It is a mix of full value, primary and excess of loss business. The focus is more toward small to medium sized accounts through large accounts are also underwritten.
Geographically it is a worldwide account and spread throughout every industry sector. All is written via Lloyd’s brokers with no one broker providing over 15% of the premium.
Direct and Facultative - North America
The focus is the same as for the non-US book. Geographically spread throughout the USA mainly commercial and in every industry. Catastrophe exposure is a significant element in the book.
Binding Authorities
Almost exclusively USA exposed although the international content is being expanded. The portfolio is predominantly pure Property, both commercial and habitational, with a modest amount of motor truck cargo and commercial auto physical damage also being written.
The majority of business is written on a Full Value basis, with some layered facilities being written on pure catastrophe accounts. This account comprises both lead and following lines.
