Property Insurance

This insurance refers to losses on the items insured up to the extent of cover "against named perils" which occurred due to the insured peril agreed in the policy. The insurance cover can be agreed for the individual insured perils or for groups thereof.

Subject matter of insurance

Any real and personal property owned by the Insured, as stated in the policy. It can also be agreed in the policy that insurance shall equally apply to items owned by a third party and taken over by the Insured based on a contract or which is used by it legally.

Insured value, sum insured

The sum insured in the policy shall be set based on policyholder suggestion to correspond to the insured value of property insured at the time of arranging the policy. The sum insured should correspond to the insured value for each particular item insured or a set of insured items.

The insured value may be:
a) replacement price, i.e. the price for which the same or comparable item, i.e. of the same type and purpose, can be acquired as a new one;
b) current price, i.e. the price that shall be set based on replacement price of the item so that considered is the degree of wear and tear or other devaluation or evaluation of the item, which occurred due to its repair, modernisation or otherwise;
c) other price agreed in the policy

Insurance against basic and supplementary natural perils

Insurance against basic natural perils refers to any material loss in insured items due to:
a) fire;
b) explosion;
c) lightning stroke;
d) impact or crash of piloted aircraft or of a part or cargo thereof.

Insurance against supplementary natural perils refers to any material loss in insured items due to:
a) flood or inundation;
b) windstorm;
c) hail;
d) landslide, collapse of rocks or soil unless occurred in connection with industrial or building activity;
e) collapse of avalanches;
f) falling trees, poles or other objects unless they are part of damaged insured item or part of the same set of items;
g) earthquake;
h) weight of snow or frost, though insurance of this peril applies to the insured buildings only.

Water damage insurance

refers to any material loss caused to the insured item by:
a) water seeping from water installation or tank;
b) water or steam escaping from central, private or distance heating;
c) liquids leaking from solar systems, refrigerating or air conditioning devices;
d) fire-fighting medium leaking from sprinkler.

If buildings form subject matter of insurance cover then the insurance shall also apply to the damage to inlet and/or outlet piping of water devices, piping of hot water or steam heating, solar systems piping, piping of refrigerating or air conditioning devices providing that such a damage occurred due to liquid or steam overpressure or freezing of water in the piping pertaining to the building. The insurance under that paragraph refers equally to any loss in the fittings, except for any loss in the interconnected equipment, such as heating boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, measurement and regulation equipment and other similar devices.

Insurance against impact/crash of vehicle, smoke and impact wave

shall apply to any material loss of insured items caused by:
a) impact of a road or railway vehicle;
b) smoke;
c) wave impact arising out of passage of ultrasonic aircrafts.

Insurance against theft and robbery

shall apply to any material loss of insured items caused by:
a) burglary;
b) robbery;
c) loss of, damage to, or destruction of the insured item at attempted offences mentioned under letters a and b thereof

Insurance against vandalism

shall apply to any material loss of the insured items which were caused by the following insured perils:
a) internal vandalism;
b) external vandalism.
A condition of the payment of indemnity from the insurance against vandalism is that the claim was notified to the police and the insured permitted to access of the Insurer to the examination or similar file of the police, and at Insurer's request it provided copies of documents incorporated therein. Nevertheless, indemnity payment is not subject to that the offender is known.

Glass insurance

This insurance applies to any loss caused by a damage to or destruction of set-in and embedded plate glass as a result of breaking, cracking or devaluation so that replacement is inevitable.

The insurance also applies to a damage to or destruction of glued-on detectors of a security device, glued-on foils, inscriptions, paintings or other decoration providing that they were damaged or destroyed in connection with a damage to or destruction of the plate glass.

The insurance also applies to a damage to or destruction of illuminated signs and inscriptions including their electrical components and bearing structure if agreed so in the policy.
